The five-star Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa has appointed respected hospitality figure Grant Young as front office manager. Grant joins the Gold Coast property following positions at the Marriott Hotel Brisbane, Metropolitan Hotel in London and several of Queensland’s leading hotel properties.
Grant will be responsible for providing direction and leadership to the reception, At Your Service and concièrge teams as well as driving department goals to maximise revenue, guest loyalty, satisfaction and associate engagement. He will also manage all aspects of recruitment, training and development of the front office team.
Working closely with Mr Young will be new assistant manager, front office, Matthew McGrath.
Matthew joins the Marriott team following eight years in senior management positions with Couran Cove Resort.
